Pauline was married to the widower, Alexandre Dufour, in 1840. Alexandre was the son of Francois Dufour and Laurenna Grange. Pauline was married only about a year before he passed away. She left Savoie with her mother and her younger sister, Jeanne, to come to join her father and her brother, Louis, in America. The three women together with Louis' three sons arrived in New Orleans on Christmas Eve, 1846. Pauline died in Ste. Genevieve in 1854 only two days after her father; both died from cholera.
