Feb. 11, 1893:
MARRIED.
On Thursday, February 9th, 1893, Miss Nettie E. Langhardt was married to Mr. Edward L. Siebert. The ceremony was performed by Rev. F. X. Weiss at the residence of Henry L. Siebert, the groom's brother, at 6 o'clock p.m. and was witnessed by relatives and friends. The bridesmaids were Misses Annie Langhardt and Annie Rehm, while Messrs. Thomas J. Jokerst and Andrew Siebert, Jr., were groomsmen. A splendid wedding supper had been prepared by Mrs. Hy. L. Siebert, to which all did ample justice.
In the evening a ball was given at Union Hall in which many of the friends of the bride and groom participated and danced till a late hour. The ball opened by a grand march headed by the newly wedded couple. The march was pronounced by all who witnessed it to have been the most intricate and successfully led march ever gone through in Union Hall.
The fair bride is the daughter of Mr. Joseph Langhardt of Kehl and teacher of the primary department of our public school, and the groom is the son of Mr. Andrew Siebert of New Bremen, and is in the employ of Jokerst and Brother. Many handsome presents were received by the bride from the numerous friends of the two families, whom the HERALD joins in wishing the happy couple a long life of happiness and prosperity.
