Christmas

Christmas! And ’round each hill,
Radiant and still,
An aureola hangs;
And earth and heaven meet
For one long, golden hour.
Love reigns supreme;
And hope is like a flower,
New-blown and dewy-sweet.
For now, as ever, do these symbols
Move men’s hearts to joy:
A star, a stable and a fair-haired boy!
